Introduction to Aphrodite Esthetics
Amanda has been a licensed esthetician since 2019. She specializes in brows, facials, and full-body waxing. She began her career working in a spa environment for about 2 years as a lead esthetician. After this, she worked in a medical spa for a year. Amanda’s combined experience in clinical and spa environments has led to her wanting to open a place where one can find relaxation and great results. She opened Aphrodite Esthetics in May of 2022 out of her RISE Commercial suite. She started with just 24 clients from previous jobs and blossomed to over 150 in a little over a year and a half.
What was the hardest part about looking for space?
We asked Amanda at Aphrodite Esthetics to share the difficulties of looking for salon space and she said, “The hardest thing for me when it came to looking for a space was finding something with a good amount of space on a smaller budget. RISE was perfect for me because it offered so many amenities of bigger salon suites without the high price tag.”
What is most exciting thing about being an entrepreneuer?
We asked Amanda what the most exciting thing is about being an entrepreneur and running her business out of Greenwood and her answer made us smile. She said, “I think the most exciting thing for me is that I get to make my own schedule which allows me more time to spend with my kids.” To RISE, we love being able to see the success of businesses to the point at which they can spend more time with their loved ones.

Approaching their second anniversary at RISE in May, the individual reflects on the factors that led to their decision to choose this residence.
