Top Three Reasons People Choose RISE Commercial District

Recently, we started reaching out to every new RISE customer to check in and make sure things were going as expected and that their spaces – whether warehouse space, business storage space or office space – were meeting their needs. Throughout this process, we have learned so much about what our customers want and the things that are most important to them when choosing a new home for their business.

Here are the top three reasons people choose RISE Commercial District:

1.     We are business-only

Most businesses start out working from a their garage, a storage unit or a friend’s extra shop or warehouse space. What does that mean? Well, that means kids are pulling bikes through inventory, you are restricted to running your business during the hours that self storage facilities are open and when there is day light available, and many times, hobby activities like welding and fixing up hot rods may interact with how you run your business.

While this is cost effective, it makes growing a business very difficult. Hours are limited, focus can be difficult to come by and the needed amenities might not be available (ever try to receive a semi shipment in your driveway? Yes, we’ve heard stories. Not only is it difficult, neighbors don’t love the idea either.)

When customers find RISE Commercial District and realize we are a community of business owners and our facilities are carefully constructed with the business owner in mind a mix of excitement and relief wash over their faces.

2.     Flexible Lease Terms

For most warehouses, a three to five year lease term is required. For many small businesses, that commitment is a hard one to make for many reasons. First of all, when your business is growing, it is difficult to predict the rate of growth and in turn, the amount of space you will need in 1-2 years, let alone in 3-5 years. Secondly, budgets can be tight. Having a good portion of your revenue tied up in a long-term, pricey rent agreement can add unnecessary stress for the business owner.

When our customers hear that they can sign leases as short as one month, we are talking their language. While customers can sign month-to-month leases, the majority of our customers sign a 12-month lease, giving them just enough time to see how their business is growing before renewing their lease. Many times what ends up happening though is halfway through the 12-month lease, customers upgrade to a larger space because their business needs have changed. Our facilities were made for growing businesses!

3.     All. The. Amenities.

The last thing we hear consistently is that people love the amenities we include with each and every lease. From the lights and electricity to the publicly accessible restrooms and shipment receiving services, our focus is making our customers’ lives easier. Loading and unloading shipments in your warehouse is substantially easier with our complimentary forklift and on-site dumpsters. And, since our sites are fully fenced, 24/7 accessible and video-monitored, our customers love that they never have to wonder or worry about the security of their warehouse, a welcomed change for many of our customers.

If you aren’t currently gathering feedback from your customers, we would encourage you to do so. There is no better time to start gathering feedback than right now. Asking customers what you did well and what you could have done better are two easy ways to collect valuable information to help grow your business by cleaning up processes and recognizing the things that customers love about working with you.
